I vote no.
I know we have a multitude of decent, well mannered players that have made a mistake or two in the past. Such a harsh consequence isn't necessary for a game that is played by a massive amount of young children. Bans are there to serve as consequences to be learned from, yes. But having such a final say is too harsh a decision to make in a game that's intended audience is young children. (no offense to our older players out there, as games are in fact for everyone.) Some mistakes that may even be very minor would then be permanent, and without the chance to apologize and repent those mistakes I believe the players would then learn nothing of these consequences and then just go on other servers and do what they will. Our server is an amazing server, with a kind community that is seemingly always willing to help. Offering a second chance is a great opportunity that we have and our appeals are an example of it being done right. I believe (Change 1) takes out the chance to come back and realize just how impressive and wonderful our player base is. And many of you commenting and saying yes, do not realize that you yourselves would not have the chance to be part of our server. This change may take out some of the bad players, but it will also take out people who could become a great addition to our server. Making mistakes is after all part of being human.
I'd vote yes for change two though, because it would take down some of the hacking. But as they're clumped together I'll have to choose no.
This is all obviously my own opinion, but I think being a forgiving server is part of who we are. Overall this is an amazing server, and I don't think all people see that their first time around, because I know I didn't. I've never personally found a server as great as this one, and I thank Intelli for taking the time to make this server what it is today.
