I was thinking about something yesterday. The something I was thinking about was what wolves should drop when they die. I thought of a few things and I was wondering what the community thought of it.

I think Wolf Fur would be cool. Maybe be tougher than leather but weaker then iron? Then we'd have wolf hide armor, and it would be AWESOME.

Or they could drop teeth AND fur. Teeth could be used for a weapon or to craft an UNDEAD WOLF that regenerates health or something.

Why should there be incentive to kill someones pet? I mean, who is a bad enough person to go out of their way to murder someones wolf?

Wolf Fur:

Used in Fur Armor (Leather Armor Upgrade):
-Place one Fur next to the article of Leather armor like you would a dye next to a wool block.
-Creates Fur Cap, Vest, Leggings, and Boots. Durabilities are 70, 120, 115, and 95, respectively.

Can be crafted on damaged Leather articles of armor, so it acts as a nice repair tool.

Idk, just a thought. Kind of a boring idea, but it gives it some use

Or an incentive to, you know, just kill them in the wild. That way if you don't have any/enough bones to tame them, or don't want more pets, you can still put them to use. I can imagine a sort of rite-of-passage for the members of the Wolves' Den...

That would totally be amazing, they should also spawn in the nether

Yeah H-hounds should spawn in the nether, but I don't think they should be connected with wolves. They would be tameable, like wolves, but they wouldn't come from wolves or anything. Unless... unless wolves TURNED into them once they went into the nether, and vice versa.

Drop leather. Nothing special, just leather.
Drop collars (only tamed ones)
Drop bones. rarer than leather, but still droppable.
