Honestly, while no more X-Raying is great, I would be surprised if it lasts that long. Eventually, I believe, there will be another X-Ray mod that will see through this barrier eventually.

Oh, and seeing as how MineRealm isn't straight vanilla, this would leave Intelli with the choice of shutting down or reverting to straight, unmodified SMP... which I don't think people would like.

Unless you have the world seed, you can't find the ores. Some ores won't be hidden, like the ones part of the interior of a cave.

When an ore is not exposed to air (or some other transparent block), it becomes a stone block. Thus, it appears transparent to xrayers.
