Most of us just don't care for what passes as PvP in a building game. If we wanted PvP, we'd go play LoL, Runescape, WoW.. you get the idea.

This proposal is unnecessary and unfair, and is a thinly veiled attempt to force those who don't like PvP (and likely don't go armored and equipped for that very reason) to stand and fight (more like be slaughtered).

Cubeguy if you are in to big pvp you should have a computer that shouldn't crash. If you know you are going to crash then don't pvp.

I have an excellent computer. Crashes are extremely rare but they do happen, and in Minecraft it seems like they only happen in the Nether. In any event, they're unpredictable. Having a nice computer doesn't mean your game isn't going to crash from time to time.

Minerealm is a building-focused server. PvP is an extra, so to speak. So no, I don't want to lose my diamond armor, tools, and building materials while I'm trying to travel between build sites on opposite sides of the map. If you want PvP, go to a PvP server. I used to play on one, and yes, combat logging was illegal and resulted in a hefty fine if you didn't log back on within 5 minutes. MineRealm is not a hardcore PvP server, and as much as you try to make it become one, it is not going to happen.

Legit_Naymar, I'm sorry but you PVP log. Also you didn't make much of an effort to try and enforce this. I am for the idea because people like legit do log and it's annoying when your half way through a fight. But sadly it seems I've missed my chance to make an actual request about the issue in hand because Legit posted one without the advantages.

The thing is pvp is enabled on this server in the nether. Part of travelling in the nether is the chance of getting killed. You say it isn't fair to the travelling people but pvp is enabled so it isn't far to the pvpers. Logging out in a pvp enabled area while under attack puts you at an advantage.

There are many rules built around pvp logging but no rule about just pvp logging. Very unorganized.

Actually, it's very organized. The rules are designed to be as little ambiguous as possible. How can we say someone didn't crash? We can't. Innocent until proven guilty.

PvP is just an aspect of the game. This game was initially built for single player. You can't PvP in single player. The pvp items put in single player like armor and potions were meant for defense against the nature of Minecraft. The gear was then utilized by players in multiplayer to attack each other for sport.

A list of important things here:

1. There isn't a monkey's chance in a wormhole that this is going to be implemented.
2. PvP is not entirely bad, but it's just one aspect of the game, and as such, people who choose not to utilize the potential fun and advantages/unfun and disadvantages of this aspect of the game should be allowed to do so without having to make sacrifices having to do with other aspects of the game (business, building, mining, exploring, etc.).
3. If hellominecraft doesn't stop trolling, I predict flaming, drama, and a ban sometime in his/her future. I already dread seeing his/her name on the forums.
4. MineRealm needs (and long has needed, in my opinion) direct intervention by Intelli to stop all the PvP drama—I've never seen him comment on it. Whether it be a rules change or an opinion, we need our Glorious Leader to bring harmony back to MineRealm.
5. Legit_Neymar is way too good at PvP.

Game crashes aren't a problem for everyone, but they're still a problem that needs to be addressed to help eliminate any doubts from this suggestion. If you can address this problem and provide an answer instead of just arguing about the question, then you will greatly provide support for this suggestion.
