There is a teleporter for the normal world at spawn, maybe we can put a teleporter for just the wild so there is no continuous walking to the wild. I have never been to the wild because its way too far away from my house. If there was a teleporter that took you to a random location in the wild, it might be easier to access.

Nope. You can get to the edge of the wild very quickly through the nether.

edit: i thought you meant teleporter when you reach the wild border, so you can teleport deep into the wild from the wild border

This is not necessary and it takes out alot of the difficulty of going to/surviving in wild. Instead of having to go in, travel through the relative wasteland near the border, and make your way to a workable area to survive in, you would just get dropped in, possibly very deep in the wild where resources are plentiful.

The walk really isn't that far to get to the border. From spawn, it takes less than 10 minutes via the nether. I know because I live 100 blocks from that border and I make the trip often.

Yeah...
As much as I hate walking through the subway to Sky City, then swimming a thousand blocks to the border, this wouldn't be legit. We're already pushing it with the teleporter and /home etc.

The Wilderness isn't for the faint of heart, so if you're not willing to put forth the effort to even get there, it's probably not an area you should really be in.
