Traps are only forbidden within 50 blocks of the nether spawn portal.

If your harvesting soulsand there is a very small chance someone would actually find you seeing how must pvp is at the main portal. Logging out in pvp is just a low thing to do that should be bannable. If your sole purpose is to go into the nether and pvp then you clog how is that fair to the ones attacking you? It should at least be allowed that if someone gets a video of you clogging in obvious pvp then a ban be given.
If you don't want to fight, then you shouldn't have to fight. There is a low chance,
but there still is a chance.
Also, with the nether being incredibly laggy, it's natural that people experience crashes, for example, Chubsy experienced numerous crashes the other day just bay standing in a spot hundreds of blocks AWAY from the hoards of PvPers. Its natural to crash. Point countered.
Let's also say that you're hunting with your friend in the nether nearby lava or even fire for thay matter when he accidentally hits you while trying to kill a pigman. You are lagging so badly, you didn't even see what hit you, but you assumed it was your friend's accident. Being incredibly laggy, you decide to relog so you don't accidentally lag your way into lava or fire. You relog and die. Your stuff flies everywhere and some lands in lava and/or fire and burns.
Happy now?
Your point has just been countered.
You still have yet to answer my other questions.
