To me it also depends on which grinder you can get to most safely. From what I've seen, Arcane takes the cake on this. And it's fairly fast, too.

That's only if you can get past the camping pvpers

Vortex is also pretty easy to get to, as long as you can get out of the spawn Nether safely (invis pots work wonders). You just have to go to a hall next to the spawn Nether, then follow it to the end, take the portal, and travel 100 blocks or so to the grinder. Very simple and convenient, it takes about 4 minutes to get there from spawn, 3 of which are in the Nether.

I have recently learned a enderman xp farm gets to level 30 in less than 40 seconds :O. I will be on to check out your grinders as soon as I can though .

Keep in mind speed isn't everything. There are other things to take into account, such as atmosphere, necessities (enderchest, storage, etc.), accessibility, do you have to pay to use it? I judge a grinder by all of these, not by how fast it goes, although that is by far the most important aspect.

Good point Roach. I will now be judging speed mainly. But I will also rate them. 1/10 on practibility. Easy to get to from spawn, mob drops, uniqueness, design, and if it has an enderchest anvil and enchanting table. Award will be on speed though. I will also enter more grinder ratings from those who do not enter, and will rate theirs. They will not get prizes though. May the best grinders win

Any chance of a mark for extra features too? We've got a 59% auto-inventory machine, a piston melon-farm, a VPES (Variable powered enchantment station), and some sort of block spamming 'lag' machine that gahy built (doesn't actually cause lag btw...)
