Now since the annoucement of Operation op to encourage people visiting our server. I noticed a great increase in mods going afk. Now intelli being the owner of this server, can do whatever the heck he wants and not suffer for it. But the other mods who are allowed to help maintain the population ingame, must maintain activeness in-game otherwise be kicked. and I say "allowed" as in its a privilege that shouldn't be taken for granted or abused.

Now I was thinking this feature would be auto and only target mods in-game, and after about 10 minutes of being afk. The server would boot/kick them for being afk. We really don't need mods to be ingame when greifing, swearing, and other inappropriate stuff happens, and be afk when someone ask for a mod.

If you need a mod you could just message them on Skype when they're afk. They're is no need to "boot" a mod when being afk, it's not going to change anything. I don't see the point in this quite frankly, seeing that a lot of mods go afk for rather long periods of time.

What if they're afk grinding? What if they're afk while for items to smelt of brew? They have to be within 20 blocks of the furnace and brewing stand for something to happen, and of they leave that spot to help others than it'll take a very long time just to smt one stack of iron.

why should I go as far as to messaging them in skype when they should be either active in minecraft or just log out? :/

Sides its purely frustraiting when you type "I need a mod" multiple times over the course of 10 minutes, only to relise the mod is afk. AFK mods will deture people from coming back to the server and will promote extensive greifing before anything is done about it.

Everyone afks, since there mods doesn't mean they have to change their gaming methods. If they get kicked for afk, we all should

U think so? Cause if I am going to do something else. Guess what. I am going to stop what I am doing. take the time to log off. then do it before I log back in. plain and simple.

I know intelli, but when you got trouble on the server and you relise the mod is afk. It just makes you want to take matters into your own hands. but you can't when you have to take into account yourself getting banned. It is again annoying to see a mod afk when stuff is going down. and I will stand by the fact that AFK mods will deture people from returning and promote excessive greifing once Operation OP starts.

I find this really insulting.

In what way is it insulting.... Servers kick afk people after 10 minutes, you use a afk alive so you don't get kicked. Relax dude

That is true. The only issue I have with this suggestion is that kicking the mod won't change anything. But I do think we need a way to contact afk moderators other than Skype.
