I agreed they were pointless, but if you notice there are different kinds of fireworks, and if I'm not mistaken you can change the color and shape of them. They are really quite cool. The only thing that would be really, really, really cool is if you could rename a firework. Launch it and up in the sky it would say the new name, and everyone on the server could see it. It would be cool for advertising

Also Intelli if you read this allow fireworks to be used on private realms, so we can launch them at spawn on New Years

Minecraft 1.4.6 Will be out tomorrow . People who want pro IV armour, or other enchants do it before minerealm updates. The enchant of thrones is being added to armour, so when mobs attack you upon hitting the armour they will take damage. The bad thing is this lowers the chance of getting Pro IV even more, and other enchants. If your going to enchant armour do it now! Unless you want armour that just hurts mobs on impact.

I'm excited about their plans to update redstone. I think they said something about adding an analog component to redstone signals. Depending on what exactly they mean by analog, this could turn out to be like an upgrade to quantum computers - just on a smaller scale, in a video game.

An add on to this, redstone lags up the server.

They were originally going to do the redstone update, but they wanted to get into the Christmas Spirit, so they gave us 1.4.6. I am thinking the redstone update was much more complicated so they made a simpler one to stall time, since they wanted some kind of an update by Christmas. The Redstone update is in the 1.5 and will be out somewhere between January and Febuary.
