They spawn on every block, I've not seen a single full netherbrick farm. Mainly cobble netherrack and stone slabs, they spawn on all.

Not yet, but someone had a 4 layer stone slab spawning pad. Worked as the best one so far.

The wiki actually says nothing about wither skeletons requiring "bricks" and the video is nearly 2 months old. And I've seen wither skeletons spawn on non-brick blocks (double slabs, cobble, etc.). I don't see why they would include just bricks anyway considering I don't think "bricks" share any sort of number in the source code. If mojang wanted to restrict wither skeleton spawning to certain blocks, they would have made it just netherbrick.

I am 100% positive they spawn on cobblestone. But, I will tell you, they do NOT spawn anywhere in a nether fortress "chunk". There are no nether fortress chunks. There are nether fortress structures, and wither skeletons can only spawn in the paths of said structures (bridges, walkways, etc).

Withers can spawn anywhere in a nether rock fortress chunk, and only on bricks. Literally anytype of brick nothing else.

Is it just me, or is something not right here?

I've seen a wither skele spawn on something other than brick before.

Everytime I've been at the pads, the spots I've watched and seen them spawn on were either on the nether brick and or they had nether brick underneath them. Granted I know they can spawn on any block but using cobble is just ugly either way.

I'm sorry Rokkr if my video was inaccurate as pointed out by Eah. I still wonder exactly how they spawn though. Wether they spawn in the exact block location of the nether fort or in a chunk, or what? If anyone can find out that would be great! But the fixed wither spawning pads look great! They look more natural and less griefed. I will also lay some nether brick down too! At the moment it looks as if a bomb went off except for the part you fixed up. Which was a lot

Yeah Im gradually working out the griefed looking areas and placing it back up top, however I know a few people are concerned since I'm taking the nether brick out from areas and putting it others, but as I keep saying where it is heavily griefed they never spawn anyways so I'm cleaning it and making the rest look better. Either way if they spawn on anything or not I'd rather try and get a more natural look back anyways.
