Not everyone has 150k just to drop. Even with member combining. And then think of all the noobs, who want to talk with there friends, the chat will be spammed with people who can't afford it guild chat

Derr, the point is that guilds will be something to work towards and not be something every user can have/afford.

Ok think of this, Vortex doesn't have 150k just to whip out. I could easily get this in minutes but id rather keep my stuff. Back to my point: 24 Vortex members all using buddy chat would spam others that don't want to see it, its BUDDY chat. Not SECONDARY guild chat.

Further reading this I notice 150k to start the guild and for me to keep my members another additional 250k so around 400k to keep some friends together

Edit: well I guess someone in Vortex does have the 150k to whip out, just another 250k to include all the members

Everything would be fine with this if it wasn't BLOODY 150k! How about just 50k for at least 30 guild members and that would be fine.

To put it into terms that you, Greatandgloriousalmighty Intelli, can directly relate to, is starting up a server. Now let's not incorporate any electricity bill or any sort of billing for this example.
Now I'm pretty sure you, and many other people, have seen those websites that will host a Minecraft server for you, but for a price. Let's say to host a server in general with no people but yourself is $50 per month. To increase the amount of people to 10 players will cost $75 per month, and to increase it to 100 players will cost $400 per month (yes, these prices are outrageous. But the hosting website claims it will make people work harder to have their server stand out an be "Elite"). Would you rather pay this huge amount of money to make a server and make it "elite," or would you rather just do some simple port-forwarding and set one up yourself FOR FREE? (Again, not including any electricity bills and such)

But I chose a hypothetical example which Intelli can directly relate to. I know other people who can relate to this who have tried to set up a mini server on their desktop.
