Back in October, Intelli implemented item de-spawning. This de-spawns item drop entities until there are just 100 and it does this on a per realm basis. This didn't pan out well for auto crop harvesters, harvesting 500 crops at a time. And this is why I'm suggesting the limit be removed - for some auto harvester designs, farming is not as efficient as in vanilla minecraft.
I want this suggestion to have a slight exception from the current crowd sourcing method of server development. This is because we, the community, do not actually know what removing the item limit means for server performance. We don't know if it makes a difference in lag or how hard the server might be working. Only the staff have this information. Therefore, the poll results coming solely from the community, should not decide this suggestion's fate. The poll is more of a "Do you have a problem with the item limit?".
For Intelli, how does server performance differ between there being a limit and there not being a limit? Could it be plausible to raise the limit to 1,000 or remove it entirely?
