Turns out your professor knows nothing. He teaches very convincing lies. In 30 years, when you're doing unprecedented research at the CERN large hadron collider, the false truth taught by your chemistry professor causes a small, but enormously consequential, mistake. The forces held within the most elementary particles are accidentally unleashed, turning most of the European continent into rubble.
