Some players are attempting to develop cases currently. Anyone registered as Justice that aids in the development of your case would be considered void of his Justice position for that particular case, and so it is recommended that if you need one, you find a non-Justice to be your lawyer, who will serve to help develop your case.

Additionally, players are allowed to submit Amicus Curiae briefs in light of an ongoing case. If you had to look up what Amicus Curiae means, you probably aren't the right kind of person to be submitting the brief anyway.

Could we clarify the etiquette when posting on cases? I think only the defense and prosecution should be allowed to post at first, and if the Justices so choose open the case to the public for other opinions. Otherwise I see quite a few cases erupting into flame wars and not actually solving any problems.

After seeing the first two cases posted, I must say this isn't going to work.

I just want to clarify that you can't be using the mrdc as a means of arguing with the staff or demanding certain outcomes. In reality, your opinions do not have to be counted. The purpose of the court is to provide a method of voicing one's opinion in hopes of altering the rules or creating new ones. The tone simply CANNOT be anything resembling demand for something. It is here to use to voice an opinion and (hope to god we can follow this last part) intellectually debate an issue with the rules.

I am removing civil suits, as more often than not it seems conceptual suits will use player events for the case anyway.

Direct attacks towards a player are not advisable. We are debating the issue, not the people.
