Personally I prefer the version you posted at the bottom of page two, with the central sun - just seems to bring the focus of the photo onto the sun and then guides your view down onto the skyline, this version sort of makes you focus on more than one thing at once when you first see it.

I personally disagree. I believe that you should crop it, but leave more space between the sun and the corner of the picture. This way it best achieves its role as the subject and offsets the horizon (pushes it down further), maintaining the balace of the image (while still retaining an asymmetry).

I did two years of photography- this is really good work.


EDIT: You wouldn't have one that includes the entire halo around the sun, instead of the ones you posted where the top is cut off?
