Hi just a quick suggestion. I suggest adding an auto server response to when newbies ask for food. I always seem to see newbies asking for free food because they ran out, and the admins always have to explain where to go. Most people for some reason are to blind to see the free melons at spawn. I suggest having an auto reply like the following:

EX: Can I have free food plzzz?? I ran out!
Server Reply: [Username] There are free melons the the right of /spawn

I am hoping that a system like this will keep the chat more clear and cut down on admins repeatidly telling newbies where to go to get free food. To be honest, it is not hard to find the melons at spawn. Most people simply tend to overlook it and then continue to flood chat with: Freeee fooooooddd forrr me???!!?1? I just hope it can also save admins time from repeating themselves.

Good idea. If I had to make a list of new player's common spams, asking for food would be at the top. It's quite an essential need, and even smart noobs need to asks that question.

Also, besides the melon farm bit, server should also respond saying "You won't die of hunger."

I think a better option is simply a sign right next to spawn with a

Your fix while equally useful, isn't going to fix the major problem the issue causes which is unnecessary chat spam. A sign most likely will cut down on it much more.

There is already a sign out by the melon farm. No need to add more signs / clutter up spawn really.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but if all the jobs are given to the server, for example, teaching new players, banning, stopping spam, enforcing rules etc... Wouldn't the job of Moderator be useless? I for one feel more comfortable with Moderators handling such things then the server. The server can be both unpredictable and unreliable whereas Moderators can make educated decisions. .

Is there only one spawn now? Last i checked I go to Roanake (or w/e) and they have no farm. Rest of what I got to say is what Tornado already did. Let the staff decide what the server needs to handle.

Multiple spawn points were done away with recently, so there's only Spawn.
This is something I spend a fair bit of time having to repeat, and it should be fairly easy to automate, but like Shaddow said, there's already a bunch of things that simply don't get read. I've had to tell people two or three times the answer to a question that they asked in chat, y'know?

Just realized this was accepted awhile ago but I believe it was never implemented. I still see people asking for food all the time.... *cough* Intelli get on this when u get a chance *cough*
