I have decided to host a spleef tournament, primarily held on the arena beneath the realm at 125, 25. The final matches may be played at alternate spleef arenas, if large enough. However, spleef arenas are lacking on MineRealm. I hope that some players may begin construction of arenas. And if fitting particular criteria (e.g. having an area of at least 1012 blocks and 3 layers), may be used for the final matches. Let me know about additional spleef arenas.

The Rules
Spleefers are simultaneously dropped onto the playing field and the match begins. Iron shovels are provided as well as a stack of melons per player. Spleefers begin with empty armor slots and inventory (besides for the melons). Snow blocks may be broken and placed. Though, placing requires recreating snow blocks from snowballs in the crafting square, leaving oneself vulnerable to attacks from opponents. The goal is to eliminate opponents by breaking snow blocks beneath their feet while keeping them from doing the same to oneself. PvP is not allowed during a match. However, throwing snowballs at other spleefers is allowed. Losers will fall to their death. The last player standing wins the match. I will have PvP enabled to record who falls and in what order. Any anomalies or stalemates results in a rematch.
The Tournament
The tournament will involve a number of spleef matches played with 2 to 4 players, eliminating 0 to 3 players each match. The remaining players continue to match up until all are eliminated. The match-ups are dependent on whom is online and when. The number of matches will be anywhere between 1 and 40 and is dependent on the number of competitors.
To keep it roughly fair and easy to match-up, I ask that the number of participants be a multiple of 4 (4, 8, 12, 16, etc.). The deadline to apply is 14 days from this post. If the last players to apply do not fit within a multiple of 4 and additional participants cannot be found by the deadline, they may be dropped from the tournament. To apply, simply say so in a reply to this thread. Provide your IGN if not already verified, your time zone, and information on the best times to catch you online. Spleefers are required to pay 500 credits before each match. If you cannot match-up within 14 days of arranging a match, you will be dropped from the tournament and someone may serve as your replacement.
The Prize
Diamond (1st place) - 50,000 credits
Gold (2nd place) - 30,000 credits
Iron (3rd place) - 20,000 credits

The goal is to destroy blocks on the platform near or under the opponent to cause them to fall, while avoiding suffering that fate yourself.
