If you are not a registered Gladiator you must talk to me in-game or post on the forums before you compete in any tournaments or Season 2.
If you want to create an officialized Stadium in your realm, ask me in-game. Details are also below!
Introduction & Description
Terranobyl has finished the core construction of the second ever Lava Bucket Gladiators Arena (first one situated in the father city of Kurachi). Here, you will watch as two players duke it out armed with nothing but buckets of lava and strategy! Gamble on which player you think will win for awesome payouts!
There are two game levels currently:
Competitive Betting allowed, gladiators are limited to three buckets at one time. Most often, you will be asked to provide your own buckets. In official tournaments, You are required your own buckets. We will not provide them.
Betting works like this:
1. Private message me/ public chat who you think will win. I take your statement seriously, so watch where you're putting your money.
2. Tell me how much you want to bet (e.g. "I've got 50 coal on Panthers!"), hand your bet to me. It can be a bet in coal, iron, cobble, dirt, sand, logs, string, sulfur, pretty much anything (excluding high end items... for now). You will be notified of bet caps when you place your bet.
3. Your bet is recorded on this here forum page, which will update every time a new match is being prepared.
4. If you win, you receive 150% payout (for now). If you lose, you lose all of your bet.
Gladiators
Gladiators receive payout based on two things:
1. Their competitive season win/loss ratio combined with the total amount of games played (which will be posted here for everyone)
2. Being a resident of Terranobyl and/or a veteran of Kurachi's LBG season (so you earn back some of what you paid to live here!
)
------------------------------------------------------------------
1v1
Duel Rules:
-You start with EMPTY Buckets
-You may use any of the lava pits at any time at any speed
-You may not create obstacles/ destroy lava pits by filling them
-You may not use water
-Pushing opponents into lava is allowed
-If you /home or /spawn during a fight, it is an automatic loss
-If you dig, tunnel, etc. you will be disqualified
-We will not refund you of any items lost during a lava duel
Draws
Draws are called by the head official (commonly me) if the fight persists for too long.
Technical difficulties (lag) also count as a draw.
After-Match
Assigned cleanup crews will run in to grab your dropped buckets (if they aren't already lava-immersed). Spectators see me or the head official for your payout. Don't argue that you didn't bet for the guy we put you down for: it's on the forums. You freaking out won't change you getting a payout.

Tournament Info: Any information regarding official tournaments will be posted here. This differs from regular competitive season in a few ways:
-Tournaments are a one-time event, not an ongoing season
-Most Invitationals and Opens will require an entrance fee by both competitors and spectators, spectator entrance fees obviously costing less
-The final round of most tournaments will provide prizes for the victor, possibly second and third place prizes as well depending on the tournament size
Tournament Glossary
Invitational: An LGB tournament wherein you may only participate if invited and are required to pay an entrance fee. Spectators do not need to be invited, only need pay the entrance fee.
Open: An LGB tournament wherein competitors may participate so long as they pay the entrance fee. Spectators will most likely be required to pay an entrance fee.
Ladder Glossary
Preliminaries (Prelims): The first rounds in a ladder-style tournament that determine who advances on to the next round (see below).
Quarter/Eighth/Semi-Finals: The rounds following prelims. Eighth-Finals are not including if the tournament consists of 16 players or less (so this will probably never happen, at least not anytime soon). Quarter-Finals are the rounds in which 8 players remain. Semi-Finals are the rounds in which 4 players remain. Finals are with 2 players left, A.K.A. the championship round.
Entrance Fees, Bro?
Entrance fees, bro. In reality, the entrance fees will never be something outrageous. They will most likely be small fees that are designed to both eliminate the uncommitted and increase enjoyment by showing exclusiveness, despite how incredibly nonexclusive it really is. It also creates excitement and encouragement to try to win, as the bulk of these entrance fees will be rewarded to the victor of a tournament. We keep 1 in 5 of all stadium revenue, and even with this, we are most likely using it to purchase/ make more buckets
.
I really suck at this game.
So do I right now. It's a matter of practice. You may use our stadium to train on so long as you ask me, Kerovon, Twisted_100, mdk14, or Jtcanon and one of them is at least supervising/ present while you are.
Upcoming Tournaments

Second Place Prize: 15% of stadium revenue and a very handsome piece of cobble

Creating your own Stadium
In order to have an OFFICIAL** LBG Stadium, you need a few things:
**Meaning you are allowed to participate in competitive season 1v1/3v3 while using this stadium, and that you can host official sanctioned tournaments.
-A head referee for every match
-A reffing box that allows for 100% view of the entire field
-(For 1v1) At least 20x40 of space uninterrupted by non-battlefield objects where the gladiators can duel
-(For 3v3) At least 25x60 of space uninterrupted by non-battlefield objects where gladiators can duel
-Construction so that spectators cannot interfere with the match
If all of these conditions are met, enjoy your stadium
Also, please try to not copy anyone else's stadium. Exact replicas will not be allowed for useage in competitive season.
This tournament has expired. Apologies to fighters who didn't get to meet their potential.
