wut?
So you are saying, realms that are inactive after 6 months get reset... Although they would be disbanded after 30 days so it would never get to that state?

Roob means if the person keeps logging in, if there were no blocks placed, it disbands.

I'm meaning its a separate thing.

Example:

JohnSmith logged in on 30th of January 2012 his realm disbanded after the normal about of time; 30days.

He also didn't come back onto the server to his previously owned realm which is now public, this could be due to him being banned or just not logging in.

Now this then meaning on the 30th of July, 6 Months after, his realm gets reset.

Only public land which hasn't been touched for 6 Months would get reset.

No. What if an area of the map has been terraformed, so that, for example, a desert has been turned into a forest. If one player who owns a realm in the area becomes inactive and the realms eventually reset, then we'll end up with a 50x50 desert in the middle of a forest. Worse yet, if there were changes in elevation (such as a mountain being leveled), this would create the 50x50 mountains with vertical slopes that many players complained about after the public realm wipe.

I agree with Prodigy. I remember in Clow's wiki page, it said that most of it was sand and was terraformed to grass. That would be a huge problem.

It's a nice idea, but I don't think it would work out very well. Once a realm gets purchased the server would probably have to create a back-up of the land. And that would probably take up more server memory and cause lag. Or, that's just my guess anyway.

Shoot no. You know how much problems that would cause?
(This is assuming I understood what you are suggestion)

-First of all, the server maybe taken down for these events. If not, imagine how much lag would occur as disbanded realms reset after 6months. Could crash the server without doing what it suppose to do before hand.
-Second of all. If said person returns and he spawns under ground and dies, or in his supposed house now surrounded by trees. He would think he been greifed. Wither he saw the announcement about this implication minerealm.com or not.
-Third. Ain't this on along the grounds of map wiping/resetting, but more focused on disbanded realms? Which if so, Intelli stated "There will be no map wipes in the current map, or in the near future" about the current survival map.
