That's right, I have villagers available.

In-game Name: Prodigy9
Item(s) up for auction: TWO VILLAGERS!
Starting bid: 10,000 credits
Minimum increments: 250 credits
Ending date: Sunday July 15, 11:59:59 PM (US Central time zone)
Buyout Price: None
If there is a reserve: That's what the starting bid is for.

Note that this auction is for TWO villagers--enough to start your own village, since they breed. I think I have at least one of each type of villager (blacksmith, priest, librarian, butcher, farmer); the auction winner can take their pick of which specific ones they want, although this shouldn't be that much of an issue since according to the wiki, villager children can be any profession regardless of their parents' professions.

Getting some villagers would probably be a wise investment, considering the upcoming introduction of trade with NPCs.

The winner of the auction will be able to pick up the villagers at my subway station (X 25, Z 1625); they can be transported home from there via minecart.

But, seeing two villagers riding the subway is a hilarious prospect.
It's especially funny when they run into a patch of tracks that's been griefed in a realm that was subsequently purchased by someone else, so you have to push their carts along the floor for about 50 blocks ;)
Other than that, transportation is surprisingly smooth; our subway is built well enough that there usually aren't problems with them taking a wrong turn.

What if you have no idea how to get them to your home?

If that's an issue for whoever wins, the best thing to do would probably be to find the subway station closest to their intended destination, and ride the subway to my station, stopping at each junction along the way to ensure that any levers are pulled the proper way to avoid misdirecting the villagers when they come through.

If you can convince the owner of the station near your home to help out (by temporarily laying down tracks to transport them to the surface and towards your realm) that would make things a lot easier.

I could also help out a bit with transport--you go ahead to the next junction, I send the villagers after you, you stop them and then go ahead, and I'll catch up to push them forward again.
