So, since the 5.0 map poll a while back, there's been a lot of confusion and conflicting stories on exactly what 5.0 will entail. Particularly whether it'll be a seperate server or replace the current one. There are Intelli's posts from that time to go on stating that it will be seperate, but there are also reports that the plan has changed.

If Intelli can directly clear this up, and possibly reveal any other info about any current plans for 5.0, that would be a major help.

Anybody other than Intelli or another admin responding with what they think is correct information will most likely be ignored. We want this straight from the source, regardless of how sure you are about what you heard. See first paragraph. I don't want this to become another argument.

Intelli has stated that the new map has been cancelled and we are just sticking to the current map.

So those old plans have been thrown out.

Just a heads up, Intelli recently posted on the other thread on this topic.

Didn't say much definitive, but questioned the idea that a new map and/or forced-public area around spawn wouldn't solve anything.
