On second thought, the early mob wipe may have only applied to spawned mobs. A village may have been unexplored before the mob wipe, and thus the villagers of that village not spawned yet. After the mob wipe, the village would be loaded, and the villagers spawned. The mob wipe may have been bypassed by some undiscovered villages.

I really hope this theory follows through as it's important to reducing the rarity of the precious glowstone.

Anyone found murdering innocent villagers will be severely harassed by me. (just kidding. I won't harass you, but I will certainly hate you)

With the map that we currently have, I doubt that they will spawn without an initial population even after 5.0. With the new survival map expected to come in 5.0, there will be brand new villagers.

Just so you know, the village being sold on this thread has no testificates. The image of the testificates is from a different village.

I am aware, but they may just spawn if map resets with 5.0, if not i own a village so whatever
