To be honest, bad idea intelli. Rules and stuff would be hard to inforce on the console version, and it would be like a exclusive. Though I also got bad vibs bout your idea as well.

My question: Why bother?

Only 8 players can play at a time, it is a very early version of the game, it would not be too terribly fun at all with only 8 players. Many people with Xboxes would want to play but the server would always be full. Maybe this idea would be plausible in the future if 4J implements server functionality, but that is a large "if".

Why waste $200 on an Xbox for a Minecraft server for only 8 people to play at a time?

Really, if there was a real server, not just a little 8 player server and if I had the money, I'd sure as hell throw in 50-100 bucks (200 if I actually had an Xbox), but I would not as the game is now.
