Problem is that anything that has many pistons will just bug out in SMP :/ I tried a superfast horizontal 'subway' using pistons and it just didn't work in SMP (works perfect in my SSP world)

Eh, ya. I didn't think about that. Minerealm has been pretty snappy lately with any redstone I've tried.

RS elevators practically never work on any server, regardless of the amount of lag.

I know arcane have a working elevator, bit I'm fairly sure on smp you need to add an extra set of repeaters to each piston. That allows the server to respond in time.

I made an elevator similar to this on MineRealm and it does work (even with the lag at spawn city). It took me a while to find a working design though.

If youre reffering to the one on Cjmac125's realm, I may or may not have made that one.

You're right though AlM, more ticks on repeaters = higher chance of riding any elevator flawlessly.
