I do allllll the time and it takes years! ive done it worever with my grinders (i have 3 on my realm) but it takes so long for me (like 3 hours) and arcane takes 1hour so i work triple as hard to get a good pick and get paid the same... trust me im a huge grinder thats why i pput this as a poll

So you take issue with the fact that they have a better grinder? They have the same mob limits as you. If the limit goes up, the Arcane grinder will still be better. You're suggestion is not for the good of the server. It requires that Staff do the work for it to be implemented. And based on the criticism and the reading of your idea/poll/suggestion/whatever, it was not very thouroughly thought out.

Do you know what happens when the allowed mobs per area is increased?

The server lags. Ever spawned so many mobs in creative single player so that you can't even move? It's the same with the server. It's not omnipotent. It has to do all those calculations for all those mobs server-wide. And if it can't handle the mobs, it can't handle the blocks, the redstone, or the players. It becomes unplayable and more people complain about the lag than the insufficiency to grind xp.

Question about this:

But look on the bright side, when Minecraft is updated to 1.3 the maximum enchanting level will be reduced to 30 and the enchantments that result will be better.

When that happens, will getting to level 30 take only as much exp as it takes to get to level 30 now (but have better enchants at that point than you would now), or will getting to 30 take as much exp as it takes to get to 50 now?

im getting a lot of yes heck nos nos and maybes how about we give it a try atleast to 15 mobs per area and see if that works if it lags we decrease it again if it doesnt lag we incease itor keep the same?!? its a good thought think about it!! JUST GIVE IT A TRY PLEASE?

You couldn't just re-type it with caps off...?

I'm not screaming. What I am saying is that it appears that the only reason you want this is because you seem feel that Arcane having an exceptionally good grinder is unfair to those that have an inferior grinder, unfair to the point that the server's mob spawning limits needs to be increased. My counter argument to this idea is that Arcane has the same limitations that every other guild or player has.

This means that if you up the limit, they will still have a faster and more effective grinder. So how long until people say "My spawner takes an hour to get to level 50 and Arcane's only takes 15 minutes, the limit should be increased so mine is even (which obviously isn't going to work)". It's a cycle of wanting it as good as the next person, and seeing as how what you are suggesting/polling is effectively a change to EVERYONE, the suggestion wouldn't work. incidentally, didn't you notice my earlier post? I actually said to increase the limit to 7, for farming purposes, but failing that, people should simply adapt to the situation.

This is a poll, and these are forums. When you start a thread, you invite everyones opinion. This is what I am doing. Unless dictated by Staff, it is perfectly acceptable to offer an opinion one way or the other. I directed you to Panthers post about suggestions because it is my opinion that this could have used more thought before it was tossed up.

That said, I voted no. This idea will NOT solve the fundamental problem that you seem to want fixed, which is that your grinder is not as effective as someone elses.

Personally, I would go with option C. Unfortunately, there Is a slim chance this will be implemented. Also, this is really nothing to make a fuss over. I was In fact using our spawners today. Within 2 hours I reaced level 40, then died TPing home. Lemme tell you I was P.O'd, but you could barely notice it.
From now on, unless in enchanting power 1 bows, it's arcane ATW.

Edit: Ryu is a very respected player here. Let him voice his opinion bud, if you don't want negative feedback don't make posts regarding your own ideas and suggestions.
