To my surprise, I was banned today by Rocky_Blast for "griefing phys' store." I believe that this is a mistake, because when I was there, I was trying to clean up the lava from the already griefed store. In the case that I actually DID grief, I would have only broken a few blocks, which should have been rolled back, not banned over. Thank you for your time, and I hope you understand the situation.

I saw what was "griefed", and it was demolished. Yet the griefing of the store did not occur by jt's hands. All that I saw that was rolled back when he found jts name was lava and a few blocks that I believe was him trying to fix it up.

If you ask how do I know, it is because I was in the nether when rocky found a name then rolled back. When he did on this one occasion little changed but the lava UNDER the building that appeared to be griefing. I think that this was a misunderstanding and should conclude with an unbanning.

I came to my nether store, and found several things messed up. All my mossy cobble was missing, there were random holes in the floor, and someone covered up and blocked all my lava.

When a mod checked who did it, your name came up. I didn't know your past, I didn't recognize your name, so I simply assumed you were someone who stole my mossy cobble and blocked my lava in an effort to sneak in. If I knew you were a mod, I would have thought a bit more about it, and maybe not rushed to conclusions. But from what I saw it looked like pretty clear signs of griefing. Once the mod rolled back what you did, my floor was fixed, my mossy cobble was back, and my lava was restored. He asked if it was OK for you to do that, and I said no, because I figured you just trashed my place for no reason.

After reading your post, I feel that in-fact you were not griefing, and I would support your unbanning. I can understand you thought the lava was the result of griefing, and you had to tear up my floor to find and block the lava source blocks. I'm not sure why you took all the mossy cobble, but I can assume it would make sense as a way of reaching the lava source blocks. I can understand that you were in the process of trying to repair my store, and that is why it looked like that.

About the lava, I put it there on purpose to defend against people who would dig under my store to rob/ kill me. I can understand how you would have thought it was the result of griefing, and I understand that the damage done to my store was simply the result of an unfinished attempt to fix a problem you perceived.

Sorry for this misunderstanding. To make sure this doesn't happen again, I will put up signs near the lava saying it is part of my building. Also thanks for taking the initiative to fix my store, and sorry that this misunderstanding took place. I look forward to seeing you back in the game, and I hope this event doesn't make you hate me xD.

Thanks

Shocked, that one would blame jtcanon for griefing. Why would he grief when he knows all the rules? He knows that mods and admins can check who removed blocks. He was fixing it! Rocky_Blast has made a terrible mistake!

I blamed jtcanon for griefing, because there was apparant griefing and thats that. Stop accusing people of making "terrible mistakes", why are you getting involved? It was a misunderstanding and thats it. Everyone followed procedure. Let this thread and event die down, there is no need for sensationalist posts.

Edit: And down satirical smart ass comments...

I apologize to you. I wasn't aware of how powerful my words were. I did not know you would of been angry by those words. Once again, I apologize.

JT, no offense but helping out your fellow player when they are griefed is a clear mistake. There are several ban appeals floating around in here where some bystander tried to help and got banned instead. Since the mods just ban anyone whose name comes up, it simply is not worth it. No matter what has been done, don't try and help. You will only get banned for it.

yeah, it's like trying to stop a firefight between two gangs. Chances are you're gonna get caught in the cross-fire.

But it confuses me that the mod would ban him, when he is such a respectable player, and has been for a long time. I feel like the mod should have at least thought it over, or talked to JT before the banning happened.
