So, I too haven't been active on MR in the last week. Somewhat because of Internet issues, somewhat because I'm a lil bored with it. Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE the community and the overall concept of MineRealm. What I've done to keep myself entertained is started a very small, pure vanilla, white-listed server and I'm having fun playing with a few random people that applied for white-list.
I have no expectation of any of the following coming true. But since it seems to be the fad of the week to say what we'd like to see for MineRealm's future, here's my wish list.
New map. No inv, credits, anything carried over *
*If you want something from the old map carried over to the new map it has to be nominated, seconded, then voted on by the community. And only a certain # of structures can be moved...6 maybe? And even then, once its moved, the person who nominated it has a very small window of time to blend it into the new map or its gone. And ony the structure is moved, no chests.
Smaller realms. Your first costs 10k after that they cost 20k each. If you are not active in a realm for 30 days regardless of whether you are active on the server, you lose the realm. Active=break/place a block, change the motd, change the name, add/remove a member, something to show you still are using this realm. If you lose the realm, you get no credits for it. You have to earn the credits and buy it back just like everyone else. You can sell a realm back to the server but you only get 2500 credits back, regardless of the original price you paiad. Oh and rc, can only be used for purchase of a realm. Otherwise its pure trade. Exceptions can be made for things like /ad or /lottery but credits can't be given to other players.
If you buy a realm with stuff on it, you wait 2 weeks and then do what you want with it. Official rule. No wishy washyness about it.
PVP. The spawn protection area is no pvp. Otherwise its toggleable with a 5 minute cool down period. Nether remains full pvp but with no pvp zones around all spawn Nether portals.
Spawn/warps. There are several spawns far and wide around the map. You spawn the first time at one randomly. When you do /spawn you go to the spawn you are closest to. /home is gone. /trade remains as it currently functions.
Keep it antigrief and no white-list, but have a forum to list griefage with coordinates and screenshots/descriptions so that if you can't make connections with a staff person it can get looked into before the data is too old.
