HavokBlue thought of this idea, and so I'm passing it along to you guys.

Have you considered the ideas of colonies for realms? Say, a Realm reaches 200x200, or something massive, empire-looking size, they're allowed to create a smaller, say 70x70 plot really really far away to build at as a colony to their actual realm?

Just a cool idea.

If you're that big, have a group of realm members settle down in an area in the name of your realm. You don't have guaranteed control of them, but that's sort of how it worked...

I agree, it's a good idea. This would also work with the additional realm warp thing, so people could easily warp to the other colonies.

Also, I like the idea of being able to establish colonies/foreign outposts.

Perhaps when realms hit certain sizes can choose to expand on the current realm area, or establish a colony in another area. Giving players the chance to A) create large Russia sized realms.. or B) multiple smaller realms.. like her majesty's British Empire.

I think that when you build in the original realm, the realm would expand, but if you build in a colony, the colony would expand.
The idea for colonies is amazing, and I would love to see it put in. I love it!

I agree with my fellow realm leader. Also, you should be able to name your colony a different name. Say your realm is called Yo Grandpappy's Realm. It would say when you enter it, "You have entered Yo Mamma's Colony (Yo Grandpappy's Realm) Size 70X70," And all of that stuff. AWESOME IDEA.

I could officialize Colonies in the Realm Diplomacy system, but I don't see it being that widely used :X

I think lots of people would use it. They would be rushing to build stuff in their realms to get a colony someplace far away, near a load of natural resources. And I had another idea. Every 100X100 you would get to make another colony! So by the time you are at 200X200 you would have two colonies and a Realm! EPIC.
