Hello,
I have a wheat farm that utilizes a piston with water behind it for quick pick up. The problem is that since the server was switched over that farm hasn't worked properly. Because I come back and almost all the wheat is gone. The weird thing is that sometimes there are random patches of wheat left standing. Different patches.
What happens is that the pistons randomly open/close when no one is around. Or at least that's what im assuming is happening. I think the pistons open when the chunk is loaded, and then the server realizes that they should have been closed and retract the pistons/water.
Now, I could stand there and I've never seen it happen. I've even redid the wiring as well. Once I've caught the wheat/seeds in my collector point.
I know it's not the redstone wiring, as its pretty straight and forward.
Here is the order:
switch -> wiring -> repeater (for length) -> torches (to go vertically) -> wiring -> pistons.
Another thing, is my semi-auto pumpkin/melon has the same problem. It will randomly knock out certain melons/pumpkins with the pistons.
Also, it's in a secluded locked room. The only people who have access or me and the other owner of SFD (San Fran Disco). One time I replanted the wheat, then came back 30 min later and it did it. In that time frame I was the only person who had access to the room on.
I've tried replacing the water, and redstone wiring. Still this hasn't fixed it.
Has anyone seen/heard of this happening to anyone else? Or knows of a way to combat this?
If an admin/mod/intelli wants to check it out its in Realm 21857. Cords: x 475, -2175.
The sandstone building is my wheat farm.
The blue wool/nether brick is my pumpkin/melon farm.
