Just built auto wheat farm as shown in picture below on MR. He seems to be refusing to cooperate and harvest the wheat I even harvested some of the wheat myself to see if he would replant to which he did not, he appears to be detecting the wheat and walking over to it just not harvesting it. does this have something to do with gamerule mob grief that stops creepers doing damage when exploding does this then mean the villagers cant auto farm?

I have searched the area for doors and there are none that I am aware of. so really I'm quite stumped on this one.

edit: Just done some testing in single player toggling gamerule mobgrief on and off does seem to affect villagers. :/
if someone could confirm this would be great thanks

Villagers only have a two slot inventory. The villager inventory could be full, but I don't know if that could be it.

I gave 3 seperate villagers 8 stacks of seeds and all 3 of them took them all
