our whole guild has been mass banned , possibly including Arakhar as well, I couldn't reach him yet.

I'd like to know why please.

If this is about the plot we claimed in May, we are very sorry if this caused any trouble. We only started tearing down the surface structure that was there a few days ago after waiting many weeks. It was incomplete. Regarding valuables, the plot contained some coal, less than a stack of nether quartz, less than a stack lapis gems if that counts, some glow stone built into the structure. The plot contained no Diamonds, no enchanted gear (except for some of the regular zombie gold weapon/armor drops) when we arrived! By now it does, we acquired many things after purchasing it. We hope those are safe. We are more than happy to claim our belongings and leave the plot if that is necessary.

Again we are sorry if this caused any trouble and willing to do whatever is necessary.

P.S. Indeed our member Arakhar has been banned as well.

From what you have stated, you seem to have been banned for Looting / Griefing. Both are of course against the rules, and as I'm sure you're all aware by now, that is bannable.

As for the moral of these events, this is what pretty much anyone who has good knowledge of the rules would say:

Whether or not a building / structure looks abandoned, you cannot grief or loot it. If you're unsure about whether or not you can take it down, then ask Staff. If you then get the thumbs up, proceed to do so, and keep the taken materials in a separate chest, for the owner to claim. Otherwise, leave it and don't touch anything.

All you can do now is wait. I'm afraid that Staff may tell you that each player must appeal for themselves, meanwhile, all I can do is say Good luck!

You are on the right track as to why you are banned. It was because of the realms your bought and ripped down.

Kero will follow up with all the details regarding your situation but what you guys did is against the rules.

Again we are sorry. We should have been more serious about this. Somehow we thought since there were no real valuables on the plot, the build was unfinished and nobody showed up for about 2 month it would have been ok to renovate. It was the closest land to our old disbandoned plot we lost in the wipe as we weren't playing at that time :-\.

We promise to treat the rules with the necessary seriousness they deserve in the future!

The person who owned the plot, AriAllen, has been offline due to some personal problems. However, one of his friends, IVIVII has been keeping an eye on the area for him. Various griefing/looting has been rolled back at the plot multiple times.

IVIVII summoned me because he saw that suddenly the plot was being torn down. When he checked it out, it turned out the it had been purchased and was being dismantled. I looked into the situation, and found that no staff had given permission to dismantle it. Because it was actively in the process of being destroyed, I choose to ban all of the players involved rather than hope I could catch you online before you took any more of it down.

My problem is that as far as I can tell, there wasn't really any reason for you to tear it down. You say it is near your old wiped stuff, but there was no reason for you to destroy an existing plot. There was plenty of unclaimed land throughout that area that would not have required you to grief. Why did you choose to tear the plot down, rather than just build somewhere nearby?

We quickly needed shelter, the plot looked abandoned and stripped of its valuables (no diamonds, etc), so we assumed it must have been abandoned for while. There was also a gallery of some sort, but items removed. So we moved in but kept it intact (at first). As I said, we should not have done this and been more serious about the rules. Sorry again.

At some point we felt homely and after roughly two month we decided to renovate (nobody had contacted us about it). There was not better reason to tear it down. What reason could have been there. It just felt homely because of the time we spent and our old plot having been nearby. There is this natural "wall" of clear stone and soil just off the coast. That's where our old plot used to be.

I totally understand you banning us to prevent further damage instead of trying to catch us online. How can we proceed from here? I suggest the following: You unban us (or two of us at first, e.g. Arakhar and me), we find a new plot, claim it, transfer our belongings and you roll back AriAllen's plots to its May state. Does that work? We'll be fully cooperative. Does that work?

By now I learned how you can trick yourself into thinking its ok :-\. Maybe plot abandoning should be prolonged. You guys spend plenty of time dealing with stuff like this. Sorry.

Alright, this is what I'm going to do. I'll ask Rokkr to go ahead and unban you all when he gets a chance.. When you get on, you should remove all of your stuff from the chests in the plot. I have temporarily restored what was done to the area. Do not remove any items you got from tearing down the plot. Once you have removed everything sell the plots back to the server. If I am not in game at the time, send me a pm on the forums, and I will come by and roll back the damage to the structure itself.
