My avatar is a drawing by some person that is not me and the signature was made by an awesome artist on tumblr. Follow me on tumblr here for Nightvale, Homestuck and Art related posts.
My suggestion is that we add polls to all staff applications since similar posts (e.g ban appeals and ideas/suggestions) have polls added to them by default.
The poll question could be something like "do you think this player would be a good moderator".
BUT this poll should be seen as the same as on ban appeals and play no role in the person becoming staff.
PROS
-Gives an overall view of the person in the community.
-Lets people +1 or -1 without having to post on the thread.
CONS
-Could be exploited.
Let me know what you think.
