I've been thinking for a while, and I decided I needed to relocate. My current house is in a nice area, but it's been ruined by nuclear testing (lolcreepers) so I've decided to move.

But then I had a wonderful idea: being that my current abode is located alone int he middle of scenic nowhere, I was thinking I should start a little village/faction. What better people to work with on said village/faction than all my friends I've made over the years? So I had the wonderful idea of starting a Veterans Village. If enough people are interested (I'd say we need at least 5 or 6 other people) we can probably start fleshing out the idea and scrolling through the dynmap to find a nice area where we could build, and could probably begin with construction once most people are out of school. This is going to be a great project if I can get enough people on board, and I can surely say I will thoroughly enjoy being back on MR full-time with all of you guys!

Any constructive criticism on the idea is greatly appreciated!

I'm pretty well established in my current location (read: I have lots of chests full of crap and nice flat realms there) and wouldn't want to move, but I'd be interested in visiting and helping out with the building.

It's going to be hard to get veterans to join your village, most of us are settled down and doing things already.
Such as: I would join your village, but I'm already settled in the sea with plans of my own.

I'll take some coords and join it someday if I ever finish what I'm doing, though.

And I just realized the MANY MANY MANY flaws that this idea has.

One is the given "vets are all settled" flaw.

Another is the amount of credits we'd need to set apart a large enough space for people to build a village.

*sigh* My grandiose ideas never come to fruition.
