I have realized how much of the map is covered with snow. Snow/taiga biomes are annoying, and Are my least favorite. If you want to get rid of snow, just cover the spot with half slabs. Half slabs prevent snow from falling on the spot. Half slabs come in many different materials now, so why not just cover your builds with them (If you have problems with snow).

No. Snow is awesome. I live in a snow biome for a reason. You don't like snow? Don't live in a snow biome.

I strongly dislike snow . In 1.5 you can get snow slabs though that are like 1/8 of a block, which I find interesting.

The public land wipe placed me in the middle of 3 biomes.

Sometimes I forget how large the map is. I regularly walk around my area and I never see snow at all. Guess I need to go visit some of the other regions more often.

If you come across a large house surrounded by trees and an outer dirt (2 high) wall, then you've found my house. (Just mentioning in case you go wondering about in the snow Biomes.)
