With the addition of beacons, it becomes a bit of a pain to use /trade while under the effects of a beacon. You must walk out of the beacon's range and wait for the effects to wear off before going to trade.
The only reason that comes to mind for why this restriction is in place is to stop invisible trade looters. But I think you can still drink an invisible potion in trade, right?
The simple fix is to allow warping to trade with potion effects.
If the idea is to restrict the use of certain potion effects at trade, then warping to trade could be allowed only under certain potion effects.
If the idea is to restrict the use of ALL potion effects at trade, then I propose the following fix: Warping to trade temporarily saves a player's potion effects and their remaining time, and removes the effects while in trade. Upon warping out of trade, the potion effects are returned to the player.
