I'm new so forgive me if I am posting to the wrong forum. I was looted today and I am trying to find out who did it. I was mining and when I came back my main chest had been ransacked. Do I wait for an Admin to contact me or do I need to make a more formal request for help. Thanks.

Simply ask for moderator assistance. That's what they're not getting paid for

Ask in game for a staff member to help. It's best to leave any griefing or looting untouched until a staff member has had time to look at it.

Thanks for your help. I asked for help. No luck so far. Do I send a direct message to an admin or just adress the message to general chat?

Unfortunately I moved the chest after it had been ransacked so I could hide it and the remaining contents from further looting. I hope this doesn't keep the culprit from getting caught.

It is hard to beleive this was a mistake, since I was actively mining in the area when they took my stuff, so it didn't look abandoned at all.

Moving the chest erases the log. If it's been looted, just leave it where it is, and don't put anything in or take anything out.

looks like I messed up then. I moved the chest. That was stupid I guess, but I was so angry, I didn't want it to happen again. Thanks for the info. I won't make that mistake twice.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that moving the chest won't erase the log. My reasoning for this is if a chest was destroyed, we can roll it back and the transaction log will still be there.

However, if you use it a few times, it will fill the log with only your transactions. As far as contacting a mod, you can ask in chat every now and then. There is a link on the bottom of the forums that says "The team", if you would like to know who all of the staff are.

You can also /msg us in game, but if we don't respond when you ask in chat, we are most likely not at our computer.
