Although I am not an expert, from what I understand a realm will only disband if it is currently loaded into memory, AKA someone is within 6 or so chunks of it. It may have been changed to disband if it not currently loaded, but that is how it used to work.

Also IIRC, rokkr is a mod, not an admin, so anything he did could of probably been done by anyone else. Mods are powerful, but not that powerful.

Perhaps before you claim wrongdoing, you should get more proof than "he got something cool before I did!"

If Intelli did it then it is over. He gets to make the rules, since this is his place. Besides that, anyone could of made a deal with Intelli for the realm, it is not like he is hard to find, what with him being #1 on the forum members list. So not only did rokkr do something anyone else could of, he got Intelli to okay it. Sounds like it is legit to me. He just had more initiative than anyone else.

does that mean if you don't log in to the game the realm will be taken by the mods and admins?
Just asking

No. If you fail to log in for 30 days, your realm disbands, which essentially just means it is made public once again and is available to be purchased by anyone.

The realm disband worked just fine for me. I bought a realm that went public a while ago... I was unfortunately taking a nap when it was supposed to go public, but it had to of done it either exactly at the right time or very close to it. Also, I was not near it when it disbanded. I got there and it was public.

Here is what I believe the disband system is. It takes exactly 720 hours for a realm to disband (30*24 = 720). The /online was changed to give hours now, so you can be more precise. If you used the old one to calculate it (player last seen on this date), you could very well be off a bit. Example: A player could log off at 12:01 am on 1/1/12. The realm would disband on the 31st at 12:01 am. Although, who knows, maybe there is a random amount added or subtracted so that people won't camp realms. I would support such a feature.

I didn't read all of the pages of this thread, but I will say that I find it unlikely that an admin took it over with a blatant abuse of power, since something like that can easily be tracked, and they would know it. We all know that admins are held accountable for their actions...

The only person capable of disbanding a realm prematurely is Intelli... and Intelli does what Intelli see's fit.

I say that the principles are his own business and that you should all just move on.

I think admins were given the ability to take over realms at their discretion a while ago... The rules seem to change a lot here though so I miss when they change back sometimes haha.

But yea, either way, I don't care lol.

Oh and I just used /online again... it seems it was changed back to the date format... yet again another change-back I missed :S

No, they were given the ability to add themselves to realms, giving them permissions. They can in no way take over custody of a realm.

Secondly, no matter how much you complain/argue about the matter, nothing is going to change. So as mitchie said before, just move on.

It seems to be a mix. I've lately seen both 'X hours ago' and 'Y days ago' recently--I suspect there's a cutoff point where it stops using hours and starts using days, but if you check soon after a player logs out, it will be more specific by giving you hours instead of rounding to the nearest day.
