I don't know how to program plugins AT ALL. If you know one, can you post a link to a decent tutorial? I am sort of assuming that you know how to program plugins because you said:

And I cannot develop a plugin. I don't know any programming at all. I am trying to learn Basic and just go from there but I never have enough time...

What I mean is that I'm 99% sure that you will not be getting a plugin for this. Make a workable plan that does not involve a plugin and try it out. You can speculate all you want, but until you actually implement your idea on the server, you can't be sure what is going to happen. Perhaps you should read more carefully and not take such a hostile tone.

My realm may try to use this idea. I will send someone out to establish a realm, and we will see how it works.

NO. Do not use it. It would be pointless to send one or two people out to establish another realm just to see if the idea will "work".

How would it be useless? It would make us know whether the non-plugin idea will work or not. Sure we use some effort and materials, but that can easily be replaced

I think that having a non-plugin colony would be kind of pointless, as it is essentially another realm, and if the leader(s) of it decide at any time to detach all bonds to the original one then your screwed (which yes in real life is what would happen, but we also dont have magical bounderies that stop people from entering the country... perhaps ill look into that :P)

Anyways, if this were ever to be developed and implemented, i personal would like to see quite a few restrictions for reasons mentioned beforehand. such as colonies eventually consuming the map and outnumbering actual realms, and leaving giant plots of land sucked dry of resources, or to the extreme of being a giant hole.

So, with that said, if it were to be in place, colonies shouldn't be able to disband and move, as that would eventually leave several holes throughout the map from the host realms consuming all the resources (in the extreme case). Also, there shouldn't be more than 1 colony per realm (again, even though that's not how it works in real life) this would (as panthers stated) remove the problem that colonies would eventually over run the map both in majority and size, which leads to my next point. Size. I believe that having essentially another realm that is tied to your realm is ridiculous. If they were to be implemented they should start at the regular size of a starting realm (which i believe is 30x30, i haven't started one recently...) and be capped at a MAX of 100x100, so that they wouldn't have the full benefit of having a second whole realm essentially.

Anyways, that's just my view on it. Put limitations (if, again, this does get made) as to not make it a HUGE bonus to the realm, but rather a small perk for all your hard work.
