That database only allows pulling username, and you might as well go ahead and say mcbans is a felony then because it has probably 95% of minecraft usernames.

No, the database is for griefers to use stolen accounts, so it "allows" users to pull passwords as well. The only reason a griefer would need to use a stolen name is to access verifying servers, which would also require a password. They wouldn't need valid usernames to access unverified servers. There lies the important difference - a username is public domain, the password associated with it is not.

What method are you attempting to use for launching it? Just double clicking the file I assume?

Also, what OS are you using?

ignore that error..that was the result I got when the usual double-clicking didn't work and I tried "opening with" any exes in the java\jre7\bin folders
That error came when I finally got a response but from the wrong exes

I can get it to run from command line with java -jar [pathtofile] but not from the icon using "open with" javaw.exe

so your file is working, it's just another thing about this new pc (windows7 less than a week old) that is driving me nuts..didn't think I'd miss my heavy old Vista beast

edit: yay for a nifty lil app called javafix...slightly annoyed that I wasn't able to fix it myself but meh, it's fixed

if it was running vista its not old. old only comes into being when its XP and older, or Mac OS 9 or older
