I'm glad I got a response. I know you don't post in these types of threads much, so I'm glad you cleared up the cause of the issue for me.
Find me a single Minecraft SMP server that has that many players online. Heck, even only 250+ players online, and I'll give you $500. Serious. Any random server, doesn't matter who owns it. You just need to find a single server with that many players.I should have said "in theory". They are 20 - 30 slot servers totaling 350 slots. I was under the impression the cpu usage trend from around 30 - 40 slots (~15%-30%) continued all the way to 100 and it got backed up in other areas.

You really have no idea what you're talking about, in regards to how Minecraft servers work.I'm not a java plugin developer. I look at graphs and write reports. Mind you, this was all out of concern for the new box you're renting.
