Actually, it is not, pushing people who are afk into the nether to kill them is illegal pvp.

As for this suggestion, two easy solution are:
- Put your stuff in an enderchest before you go into the nether.
- Enter the nether through a different portal than the spawn portal.

Or empty your inventory, then enter the nether just to see if anyone is on the other side.

Use a different portal.

Use an invisibility potion.

Use an Ender Chest.

Ask the person camping not to kill you (sometimes it works!).

Find a non-Nether way of getting where you need to go.

Wear good armor and kill those suckers.

And so on. There are so many ways of working around this that adding a safe zone would be just plain overkill. The whole point of the Nether is that it's dangerous, and since it's completely possible to avoid getting spawn-camped if you're willing to put a tiny bit of effort into it, I have to vote no.

Cheese, many of you are failing to notice a key bit of information.

I cannot move for a short period of time when i enter the nether making any type of PVP impossible. Even if I did wear great pvp armour it would just be a waste because I would loose it.

At the very minimum id like a 10-20 second time period of no pvp upon entrance to the nether. Such as the time allotted when you log into the server and cannot be touched. If this suggestion fails I will repost a secondary suggestion for that. After a week of coarse.

Shouldve been a no pvp zone at nether spawn ages ago as camping nether spawn portal is extremely cheap and requires no skill in pvp what so ever.

Then they wonder why pvp is a dying thing on Minerealm. Of course any game where losing all your items when you die makes it lame as well if you are the one dying all the time.

Do you support this idea?
