Almost none of MR is 'griefed' as such. Things just still look messy after the 4.0 wipe.

If anybody actually gave terraforming a decent effort, we could have a very normal world.

If you own a realm that looks out of place, you could hire me to fix it... For a price. I don't like wasting my GIme on trivial matters such as this, but if you do want it done message me on the forums or in game.

Maybe instead of one static image, maybe the background image can be picked from a select few, the 'best' of minerealm, thus avoiding the griefed, ugly and complete ocean areas while still creating the variation needed. It would also (for slower internet speeds) load faster.

Having to disable the map every time you log on is annoying. Why not just create a setting that disables the map for the user that checks on it? And you can reenable it by clicking on it again.

Since this poll was created though, we've improved how the background map works, so it shouldn't really be causing issues for people.
