The book is for horny 12 year olds boys. People need to read a good, quality book, like Harry Potter. We need a quid ditch field, now that would be awesome!

LOL WHAT I love harry potter and i personally find Hunger Games to be quite the young adult novel. Agent, you have lost like 20 respect points from me. I honestly don't know where you come off saying that it is a book for "horny 12 year old boys" Considering there is nothing other than a slight romance between Katniss and Peeta. No smexy times, NOTHING. -glare-

As for quidditch.. yeah have fun trying to get that to work.. flying and all. and throwing things far enough..

The only problem with Quidditch: Every player really playing the game will be banned for flying ;)

Well it's mostly that when I read this book in school, I hated my english teacher. So I ended up hating the book too. But really, there are some completely pointless scenes like when she was completely naked in front of her 'Sylist' who was named 'Cinna' (WTF????)

Like, it seemed like the author was trying to pull all the horny 12 year olds into it.

And honestly, the plot is just lame. It's so obvious she's going to survive, and the suspense is pretty lame IMO... Whenever she would get into trouble, she would easily get out of it with no problem.

I also don't like super unrealistic books. Now by unrealistic, I mean it slightly different.. Obviously harry potter is unrealistic... But if you accept the fact of wizards and what not, the plot and all makes sense, where as in the hunger games there are so many flaws that have me saying, "Even if there was a corrupt government who ran games, this would NEVER EVER happen."

Some 12 year old hunter girl who runs her family illegally hunting and then goes into games where she wins against these big strong guys who've trained for their lives... And of course she ends up winning.. IDK.

Well there you have it, that's my essay.

I agree with Flanny, bu you have lost over 9000 respect points from me.
And, that part isn't pointlss. It is to show that she was listening to Haymitch, and she would do what she was told.

I'm 16, not trying to hate on the book, sure it's good... I just feel like it's a tad bit dumb. It's perfectly acceptable for a 12 year old to be reading it, and I'm not saying a 16 year old is too old for it, but when I read it, I constantly kept thinking it could of been a far better book.

-sigh- You are.. some words that i don't feel like being forum banned over. They didnt describe it, and you know what? So what? He's a clothes stylist. He didnt touch her or ANYTHING. Sounds like you were wishing there was a bit more to it and ended up being sorely disappointed.. and you have to read the entire series not just one freaking book to get the plot to it. -sigh- Naiive Kids these days. -_- Twilight had more BS in it than this book and you hate on it for one scene? Your English teacher was brilliant i must say, for the book/series is amazing. Hate to say it but as much as i loved harry potter, as soon as the movies came out, It became over done. Same thing is probably going to happen to this book, unfortunately. -yawn- Back on subject

I will volunteer for terraforming when i am avaliable.

Just giving ya my opinion! I won't deny the book isn't good, I mean, I guess I enjoyed it.

I just like to read books a bit less... Silly? Maybe it's the odd names, or the fact that a 12 year old girl has to fight in games, and the fact you know she is going to win.

I personally hate books that keep me thinking "THIS WOULD NEVER FREAKING HAPPEN IN A MILLION YEARS"
