Make the area you spawn in larger (make the back wall a bit longer, and move the fences outwards). Alternatively, remove the fences (and the spawn point could be changed to right in front of the sign wall, facing the wall, if you're concerned about making sure players read the signs). The current spawn area just feels a bit too cramped--you start in a very small fenced-off area in the middle of a very open, spacious garden/park area.
Semi-related idea: add more windows to the ceiling of the new /trade. It's a nice feature of the room (and I do very much like the new /trade room, by the way), but there isn't much to see except players occasionally walking overhead. If the windows were larger, it might be possible to see the tops of some of the buildings in the area.
