I must agree with cogo here. He is not trolling you, but just pointing out the obvious reason that your name is just wasted text at the end of your posts.

I wouldn't classify that as trolling either, but, I see ton's of people who sign there name to a post. There's nothing directly wrong with it. It's just like signing your name to an email, At the top of the email it says From: [email protected]; But you still want to sign your name...

Email is a little different. It's a personal message sent to (normally) a friend, colleague, or acquaintance, so a little personal touch is fine. Of course, forum posts are much different, and you have your signature space for all the personal touches you want to make.
