Signs are in public spots most of the time. can't see many people going to the lengths of writing profanities in a book then putting it back in a chest

what relevance is that to what i said lol all i said was if they censor signs they should censor books too since they also get used fairly often for means that shouldn't be example some ppl put ips in books some make comments in books to other people that are not suitable for minors ect.

It's totally relevant, people don't use books to display swears to the server (AFAIK) so it would be a waste of coding time

however they can be used to pass around ips in secrete or insult people just as well as a sign and both are not allowed.
