I personally dislike the word filter. However given the average age of minecraft players I think its a good idea for a large population server.

I'm voting no but, I would like the list of words published and a chance to veto some of them. (like wtf)

But most times, it's not used in terms of holiness such as "the Bible stated that God had damned thee"
Many people say it like "Da** you (inappropriate content)!!"

Do your professors allow you to say that in a civilized classroom? Mine sure don't.

Rejected. We have a "no-swearing" policy. If you want this policy removed, you'll need to create a poll regarding removing the entire no-swearing rule.

"Damn" is a swear word. You can't pick and choose which words you think are swear words. We either block them all, or block none of them. It makes no sense to block some of them.

tl;dr: can't remove it as long as we have a "no-swearing" rule.

Crap is technically a swear word also. If your going to follow the "no-swearing" policy, you have to add crap.

Except it isn't.
Collins English Dictionary wrote:This word was formerly considered to be taboo, and it was labelled as such in previous editions of Collins English Dictionary . However, it has now become acceptable in speech, although some older or more conservative people may object to its use

How so? They're not related at all.

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/damn

It's not like you can replace something like "damn you" with "crap you".

Well, I'm american and I consider damn more of a swear than crap. I guess it could be based on location.

Arse, bollocks, brassed off, bugger, cobblers, fanny, John Thomas, pecker, narked, roger, rumpy pumpy, shag, shite, slapper, slash, sod, stuff, tool, wanker, and willy are all variously taboo words known in the UK. Here in the americas, these words have no meaning at all or a far different meaning. And, when used properly, some swear words lose their original meaning.
