Thanks for the input guys, narrows down my search a bit. Never heard of Lenovo before, though.

Lenovo is formerly the IBM business PC division. It was sold off and now makes both business and home PC's. All my work desktops and laptops are Lenovo.

I got a new one a few months ago, first non AMD computer I've bought in a long time. I regret it. Intel integrated graphics suck. Just my experience. And generally you can get better specs with an AMD processor for the money.

I have to agree with you.

If you don't plan on traveling a lot I'd just get a good desktop. You will get more for a cheaper price. If you do travel a great deal and don't know what do buy I'd go with everyone else s suggestions. There are a lot of choices out there and a lot of opinions on these things. The only one that matters in this choice is your own.

Mine is a Lenovo. It even has a fingerprint scanner!!! It's pretty fun for $400.

go with asus if you want a decent gaming laptop. i have a Toshiba satellite and this comp is good for coding but very, very bad for gaming.
