Kso i'm curious to see whether or not Real World Item Trading really is legal on MR, and to what degree.

The credits/items aren't spawned, so it wouldn't make the server "Non-Legit" . The credits would just be on another persons character, the credits themselves would be legitly earned.

Also, if it is legal, are there any limits to it? And would selling(advertising) on the forums, or in-game also be allowed?

I ask this because i don't really have as much time to play lately, not to mention most Exodus members are MIA, and this could help fix my overflow in RC.

Intelli came on in game one time when someone else tried to buy credits and said it was perfectly fine... >.>

I remember because we got into a giant discussion about it in about nov-jan time, in game..

In that case i'd still like an admin confirmation on the advertisement part, for example if someone were to start a RC selling store/forum thread, or at 'least clarification of the rules on RWT if there are any.

Someone once sold a realm via paypal, for quite a large amount.... Intelli told me it was fine, after i contacted him about it.

I'm against it personally, when something isn't ridiculously hard to get for free, why pay for it?

Some people just don't have RL time to earn it in-game.

Anyway, all this amounts to is someone is being paid for their in-game time in a retroactive manner. As long as the in-game activity/product was legit, then all RL dealings should also be fine right?

Starting RWL between players is the most idiotic thing that could of happened here.
Now, let's imagine that someone says in-game that they are selling Diamonds for RC, and they don't pay up when you give them the RC. You would post a ban request and contact a admin right?
So, what happens when the same thing goes on with real money? Simply when they ripped you off you would have no evidence if this happened or didn't happen. Even if you did, who could help you? The Admins can't get your money back when that person disappears.
SpaceNow you may think "I'll only buy off people I trust" and it won't effect anything. Apart from the idea that people will turn their back on the server when money is placed in front of them, there will most probably a large influx on scammers once they notice there is a free to join server where people throw their money around happily.
SpaceSo, why is this fuss really necessary?

Personally I'm against real world trading, as for the reasons already stated above by others.
Everyone starts out with nothing in game, and what they acquire is through their own hard work in game.
As soon as real life money comes into it things, will get messy and unfair. You could have distortions of the game market just as serious as using a duping exploit. This is a form of cheating.

Though it is not a form of cheating if it is allowed by the servers ownership, it will make a lot more people use hacks to automatically mine blocks. As it will earn money for them. Scamming aside.

Why should real world factors effect how well you can play in a game?

Stuff like this is the reason I am glad MR does not offer RC incentives to people that donate, as on servers where I see it happening, you get a few players who have access to their parents credit cards (sorry for the younger players, but it is true), who become richer than those who put legitimate time and effort into the game.

I would suggest waiting for Intelli to officially respond to you before commencing trading.
