Downloading Garage Band for my iPod right now. Because of this, I can't do anything Internet related on my computer. No Minecraft, no Steam browsing, I can barely do this. I need better Internet, but there are very limited options for a small town like mine.

Mine isn't quite that bad but pretty close. It ssssucks! Small town Iowa, USA here. I find its mostly my computer that can't handle minecraft so well. Net speed is manageable. Either way, I feel ya.

Lol, haven't had internet for the passed 3 months or so, 'been forced to steal my neighbours and it works like 3-4 hours/week tops, and when it does, most of the time at 2-3 kbps(sometimes slower then dialup)

Most of the time its so slow that i can run nothing but skype. :evil:

Mum went bankrupt 5 months or so ago, due to a broken back. Lost the house, car, etc.

So we moved to a new town, for the first 2 months i was lucky enough to have a neighbour with wifi without a password, but 3 months ago he cancelled his net. Since then i've pretty much 'been without internet, phone, and TV.

Sadly one of the drawbacks of going bankrupt is once you go bankrupt, it's REALLY hard to find a company that'll "lend you stuff" such as internet, phones, and TV, most companys do a credit check, and if you have bad credit, they turn you down.

Luckily we were able to put the internet under my name, but it'll still be 2-3 weeks before its hooked up and all. In the meantime i've pretty much 'been watching movies, playing SP games( finished about 20+ games including fallout, borderlands, and skyrim), chilling with buddys, and finishing school.

TL;DR: Going bankrupt sucks.

Also: Use netlimiter to limit download speeds on ANY application... helps if broadband is unavailable.
